New Herring Press publishes prose: fiction, nonfiction, and neither/both. Our books combine work by our favorite established and emerging writers and visual artists. We conceive and construct their pages with designers, printers, and bookmakers whose work we love. We believe that books can be meaningful not only because of what they say on the page but also because of how they speak about the cooperation underlying their own production.

New Herring was founded in 2010 by Jess Arndt, Sara Jaffe, Jason Daniel Schwartz, and Sara Marcus (on hiatus).
